How It Works
GreenDrop is the fast, easy, and convenient way to donate.

Do you have objects you were interested in donating to helping others in need?  GreenDrop accepts many items ranging from clothes, toys, and much more!  See what we accept by reviewing our Acceptable Items page.

Double check to make sure that any items donated follow our rules and government regulations:

Some of the items we can’t accept are furniture, TVs and computer monitors.  To be accepted, donations must weigh 50 pounds or less.

Again, please review our unaccepted items list before transporting donations or scheduling a home pickup.

If you drop an item off that does not meet our standards, we will leave an “Apology Card” with an explanation of why.

From behalf of all those receiving your donations, thank you for all of your help and generosity.  We couldn’t have done it without you.

GreenDrop is an organization chosen by the Military Order of the Purple Heart to help raise funds and donations to help those in need.  Clothing donations are converted to dollars raised to help the nation’s veterans.

The Purple Heart is a Congressionally-chartered charity composed of military men and women who received the Purple Heart Medal for wounds suffered in combat. Although membership is restricted to the combat wounded, Purple Heart supports ALL veterans and their families with a myriad of nationwide programs

With our tax-deductible items received, GreenDrop sells these items to thrift shops such as 2nd Avenue and Village Thrift.  In 2015, charitable proceeds reached $2.5 million.  Our proceeds are given to the different charities we support which have helped thousands of people.
